Based in Tennessee, Hunter serves as the head coach of Carson-Newman University’s Eagle Anglers program, one of the nation’s top collegiate fishing teams. Since helping grow the program from its early stages, he has played a major role in building a culture centered around discipline, development, and competitive excellence. Under his leadership, Carson-Newman has consistently competed at a national level and earned recognition among the top collegiate fishing programs in the country.

Alongside coaching, Hunter competes professionally and contributes regularly to the National Professional Fishing League through educational articles and fishing content focused on tournament preparation, seasonal patterns, fish care, and on-the-water strategy. His ability to communicate the sport in a relatable and practical way has helped establish him as both a competitor and a trusted voice within the fishing industry.

His passion for developing anglers extends beyond the collegiate level. Through youth camps, mentorship opportunities, and speaking engagements, he works to help younger anglers build confidence both on and off the water. His approach combines competitive knowledge with a strong focus on character, work ethic, and long-term growth.
